    Musician Team Introduction:

This concert is led by Argentine jazz pianist Musa MING Martin, serving as the Music Director. With his deep jazz background and creative musicianship, he brings a fresh interpretation and soulful groove to the performance.

Joining him are Jiro YEH, a versatile Amis-Paiwan musician, who takes on the roles of bassist, cellist, and percussionist, showcasing his diverse musical talents; and Ukusane TU Chih-hao, a skilled guitarist from the Rukai people, whose delicate and emotionally rich playing adds depth and texture to the ensemble. This trio blends musical influences from different indigenous cultures, creating a distinctive and unique sound aesthetic.

This unplugged concert features not only a trio of musicians but also a five-member chanting ensemble. This arrangement draws inspiration from traditional choral chanting, a deeply significant element of indigenous music.

In the past, traditional chanting groups primarily performed their own tribal songs. Today, however, we sing not only in our mother tongues but also in the languages of other cultures. No matter the language, when we sing together, we naturally generate a shared strength. This is more than just a fusion of music—it is the practice of tradition in modern life, using voices to keep the spirit of our culture alive.

The chanting ensemble brings together indigenous singer-songwriters from Nanguaq, showcasing a rich variety of musical styles and emotional depth:

    • Makav—A Golden Melody Award-winning new artist, known for her R&B style and warm vocals, infusing each song with delicate emotions and smooth rhythm.

    • Kivi—A soulful voice from the Paiwan people, whose deep and resonant tone bridges traditional and contemporary music.

    • TSENG Ni (Dremedreman)— Known as the "Eastern Sun Girl," she brings a pure and crystalline voice that tells stories of land and memory.

    • Arase—A warm and emotive male vocalist from the Rukai people, specializing in lyrical ballads, delivering heartfelt musical expressions.

    • R. fu—Serving as the MC, he connects the concert's atmosphere and emotional flow with his distinctive rhythm and rap artistry.

This performance features a nine-member ensemble from diverse indigenous backgrounds, merging pure vocals and dynamic rhythms to create a uniquely immersive unplugged acoustic concert. As we welcome the new year, this music serves as a bridge, delivering a message of unity and harmony, allowing every voice to resonate as a melody that connects us all.
