《八 八》是一部融合當代舞蹈 ╳ 現場電子聲響 ╳ 現場擊樂 ╳ 大型舞台裝置為一體的作品，將實事、田野踏查及臺灣民間信仰之【拔超科儀】，透過身體動作的詮釋將其轉化。講述2009年發生在臺灣高雄縣甲仙鄉一則撼動國內外的大洪水，一場超度無主孤幽的肅穆祭祀，意不在悲情回顧史事，而是將創作歷程中體悟的，關於存在的能量與消逝的反思，對其土地故事與生靈的感念，透過作品向觀者誠懇傳達。

以舞作形式呈現的超拔儀式，舞者的演繹爆發力十足，舞蹈身體時而宛若受神秘力量由內而外地驅使震動，時而因外在力量無情壓迫下彎折纏繞。現場擊樂與電子聲響能量強大，撼動觀眾的聽覺與體感。這是一齣在觀賞後即使經過相當時間沈澱，卻依然後座力強勁的舞作。（第十八屆台新藝術獎 年度入圍理由，主筆╱陳宜貞）

Deluge is an immersive multidisciplinary production integrating contemporary dance, live electronic soundscapes, live percussion, and large-scale stage installations. The work transforms historical facts, field research, and the Taiwanese folk ritual of "Ba-Chao" (The Ritual of Transcending the Depths) through physical interpretation.

The piece centers on the 2009 flood in Jiaxian, Kaohsiung—a disaster that shook the world—and the solemn Taoist ritual performed to appease the spirits of the lost. Rather than a sentimental retrospection of history, Deluge reflects on the energy of existence and the weight of disappearance. It is a sincere message to the audience, born from a deep gratitude for the stories of the land and the souls that inhabited it.

Deluge originates from choreographer Lin Ting-Syu’s questioning about the disappearance of life and existence after his field trip to Jiasian Township; it is also his quest of the possibility to co-exist with trauma, materialized as a deliverance ritual in the form of a dance. The powerfully explosive interpretation of three dancers is manifested through their bodies that sometimes shake as if driven by a mysterious power within and sometimes bend or tangle up as if ruthlessly suppressed by external forces. The intense energy of live percussion music and electronic sounds create an impact on the audience’s ears and bodies. This is one of those works, whose repercussion is still strong and lasts long after the viewing. (Commentator: CHEN Yi-Chen)

秋杉所在成立於2019年，宗旨是以「身體作為思考的起點，並藉由舞蹈創作來展現當代舞蹈所存在的社會價值」，團隊相信，肢體動作不只是表演形式，而是一種觀察社會、回應時代的身體語言。以培育舞蹈人才，匯聚高雄舞蹈展演能量為目標。

作品展演至今，曾兩度入圍台新藝術獎年度作品與四次獲得提名；國際編舞獎項榮獲二座，分別於西班牙及南韓。創作聚焦臺灣民間文化與各式樣態的社會現象及議題，作品於國內多座劇院演出，包括國表藝三館之委託創作與發表。過去也積極參與國際表演藝術平台，足跡至西班牙、南韓、日本、香港、中國、澳門等。

Autumn Cedar Sóo-Tsāi was established in 2019.

Our team is founded on the philosophy of "using the body as the starting point for thought, and manifesting social value through contemporary dance." We believe that movement is more than a performance medium; it is a physical language used to observe society and respond to our era. Our mission is to nurture dance talent while consolidating the creative energy of the dance scene in Kaohsiung.

Since our inception, our works have been shortlisted twice and nominated four times for the Taishin Arts Award. Internationally, we have garnered two choreography awards in Spain and South Korea. Our creative focus lies at the intersection of Taiwanese folk culture and diverse social phenomena. We have performed across major theaters in Taiwan, including commissioned works for the three venues of the National Performing Arts Center. Our international footprint extends to Spain, South Korea, Japan, Hong Kong, China, and Macau.
