護士巡視病房展開一日的工作。日復一日,她往返於醫院與自家、工作與生活之間,平凡而規律。某天,她鼓起勇氣約了徵友啟事的對象見面,兩人約在陽光明媚的公園,一邊散步一邊聊天,聊興趣、過去、未來規劃、工作的意義。電影以護士的一天,呈現時代女性的樣貌,自信且獨立。
The first Hungarian cinéma direct film is the story of a classified ad. A nurse and a bachelor meet with the intention of going to the cinema but they cannot get tickets. Instead, they sit down in a cafeteria and talk. All dialogue between the nurse and the creative colleague of Judit Elek, the writer Iván Mándy, is improvized.

影片以一個小小的請求開始。女孩要眼前的男子為她作畫,男子回應自己不是畫家。繪畫無法捕捉人物的動作,而動作,對他來說才能呈現一個人的精神內涵。攝影機追隨女孩碎步輕巧地行走在熱鬧街上,舉手投足之間散發著青春活力;她一路觀察周邊的人事物,不時端詳自己的各種倒影。這是一則輕快的都市物語,也是創作者對電影藝術的浪漫告白。
The young and radiant Cecília Esztergályos stars in this short film evoking the French New Wave style. Every detail in this etude of fragmented structure bears significance. The evanescence of any given minute is important, the impressions that moments stacked one on top of another leave in the viewer.

電影開宗明義地揭示匈牙利境內羅姆人的處境。他們被視為次等公民,以各種理由被迫遷離生活的環境,缺乏足夠的教育與醫療資源,死亡、病痛如影隨形。導演以一張張關於羅姆人的靜態攝影,和貼近生活的紀實影像,呈現羅姆人的生活百態,在傳唱的歌謠與誦念祝禱聲中,孩子們述說著他對社會現實的關注與人道關懷。
A lyrical yet passionate “situation report” on the living conditions of Hungarian Gypsies. With this, his first significant work, Sándor Sára, who went on to become one of the most influential figures in Hungarian cinema as both cinematographer and director, aimed not only to document but also to take a standpoint on this critical topic. The exposition of the film determines the context: newspaper articles and socio-photos reporting on the plight of the Roma, listing numbers and statistics, and in the follow-on, Sára depicts the problem through motion pictures.

原野上奔馳的駿馬,飛揚的馬鬃充滿光澤,馴馬的老牧民以溫和的眼神,靜靜地凝視著眼前的一切,靜與動,攝影機一一捕捉,那如油畫般的影像質地,散發出萬物的靈魂內裡。枯樹、飛鳥、馬匹,照顧馬的人與靠馬賺錢的人,那些即將凋零、步入遲暮的職人們與躺在血泊中的生靈,在歷史檔案影像的蒙太奇交織下,一曲從田園牧歌揭開序幕的馬之輓歌緩緩演出時代的悲哀。
Elegy is a unique motion picture experiment that created a new way of seeing things. The film was made at Béla Balázs Studio, which that was always supportive of uncompromising experimentation. The concept was originally inspired by the 1963 poem Búcsúzik a lovacska (The Little Horse Says Goodbye) by Nagy László. Director Zoltán Huszárik produced numerous sketches prior to filming and the remarkable imagery of the work was worked out in collaboration with cinematographer János Tóth.
