靜敏是個愛哭的家庭主婦，當先生良三外遇提出分居時，她哭個不停，卻主動提出離婚。恢復單身後，她租下老友房子，前頭做花藝店，後頭做自己房間，天天看店，只有良三弟弟常來訪，清閒有餘，動力不足。然而良三弟弟的愛慕、屈少節的出現，讓靜敏必須踏出步伐改變自己，在一次次的選擇與摸索中，掌握自己的天空。

本片改編自袁瓊瓊同名短篇小說，是張艾嘉起心動念企劃《十一個女人》電視單元劇的動機，亦由張艾嘉親自執導。原著描繪女性蛻變獨立的過程，劇本則在女主角社經獨立外，增添生育與再婚面向的想法，使之較同時期以失婚女子為題的作品，展現更超前的自主性。彼時女主角潘迎紫歷經離婚後復出，戲裡外人生歷練相呼應，尤具說服力。

Inspired by Yuan Chiung-chiung's novella of the same name, Sylvia Chang creates the anthology TV series Eleven Women, and personally directs this TV film as part of the series. The original story depicts a woman's journey towards independence, while also exploring issues of fertility and remarriage to challenge prevailing narratives about divorced women of the era. Renowned TV actress Angela Pan's personal experience with her own divorce lends authenticity to her performance and echoes the film's plot.
