2026年3月，衛武營搬演《霍夫曼的故事》全本歌劇音樂會，帶領觀眾探索19世紀德國最知名作家E.T.A.霍夫曼與法國最知名歌劇作曲家奧芬巴哈的跨時空交會，三段充滿著奇思妙想的戀愛回憶，搭配高潮迭起的動聽旋律，交疊出音樂史上最超脫時代的幻想故事，堪稱是19世紀歌劇版《黑鏡》！

衛武營藝術總監簡文彬親自指揮，對位室內樂團與高雄室內合唱團精采助陣，臺灣聲樂界一時之選領銜演出：女高音蔣啟真挑戰一人飾四角，用銀鈴般的花腔天籟，勾勒出作家理想情人的各種面向，女中音翁若珮則化身繆斯女神，帶領著男高音王典飾演的作家霍夫曼，向觀眾娓娓道來三段奇妙又哀傷的戀愛寓言，男中音丁一憲則畫龍點睛，以四個角色穿梭各段故事，另外更集合了陳珮琪、林義偉、羅俊穎、廖宇盟和張殷齊等國內知名聲樂家粉墨登場，更特邀曾獲台北電影節女主角獎及金鐘獎女主角獎的尹馨跨界演出說書人，一同帶領觀眾探尋霍夫曼筆下的三位女性──完美但虛幻的機器木偶、熱情卻薄命的歌劇名伶、心懷詭計的風塵美女，故事一個比一個驚奇，音樂一首接一首悅耳，三倍的法語歌劇魅力，僅此一晚呈現！

You may not know who OFFENBACH is, but chances are you've heard the beloved female duet Barcarolle…You may not know the opera Les Contes d'Hoffmann, but the dazzling "Les oiseaux dans la charmille," also known as "The Doll Song," is a favorite among coloratura sopranos around the world…

In March 2026, Weiwuying will present in concert the complete opera Les Contes d' Hoffmann, inviting audiences to explore a cross-temporal encounter between the most renowned German writer of the 19th century, E.T.A. HOFFMANN, and the most celebrated French opera composer, Jacques OFFENBACH. Three imaginative love stories, interwoven with soaring, dramatic melodies, come together to form one of the most timeless fantasies in music history—an operatic Black Mirror of the 19th century.

Weiwuying Artistic Director CHIEN Wen-pin conducts the Counterpoint Ensemble and Kaohsiung Chamber Choir, joined by an exceptional cast of Taiwanese vocalists. Soprano Jeannie CHIANG takes on the challenge of portraying all four roles, using her silvery, bell-like coloratura voice to embody the many facets of HOFFMANN' s ideal lover. Mezzo-soprano WENG Jo-pei appears as the goddess Muse, guiding HOFFMANN, sung by tenor Fernando WANG, to narrate three strange and sorrowful tales of love. Baritone JUNG Ilhun shines in four roles, seamlessly weaving the stories together with vivid presence. The cast also features CHEN Pei-chi, LIN Yi-wei, Julian LO, LIAO Yu-meng, and CHANG Yin-chi, top talents of Taiwan’s opera scene. Taipei Film Festival Best Actress Award and Golden Bell Award for Best Leading Actress, YIN Shin, makes her cross-disciplinary debut as the narrator.

Together, they lead the audience in exploring the three women from HOFFMANN's stories: a perfect yet illusory automaton, a passionate but ill-fated opera diva, and a seductive courtesan with hidden motives. These fantastical tales, bursting with imagination and irresistible melodies, promise the triple charm of French opera captured in one unforgettable night.
