• 原文再現：我們上本選取〈驚夢〉，下本選取〈拾畫〉與〈幽媾〉，拋開改編、添詞，忠實依據湯顯祖的原始文本，還原經典之全貌，讓您聽見原來的曲牌連套，感受湯顯祖文字的魅力。
為了呈現較完整的故事脈絡，在這三個“原典呈現”折子之外，我們妥善處理多個折子，遵循「只刪不改」的原則，構築連貫流暢的劇情。

• 古韻今聽：雖難至臻完美原典音樂，但我們參考較早、較有權威的《納書楹曲譜》，力圖恢復當時的音樂韻味，讓古樸、慢節奏在此呈現。

• 演出陣容：本次演出呈獻兩大陣容：
– 上本：由臺崑之星的優秀青年演員擔綱主演，他們將以生動、富有張力的表演，展現青春氣息與活力。

Taiwan Kunqu Opera Troupe proudly presents the Urtext Version of 《The Peony Pavilion》, inviting you to step into the dreamlike and poetic world crafted by Tang Xianzu.

·                    Authentic Restoration:
We present “The Surprise Dream” in the first part and “Retrieving the Portrait” and “Secret Date” in the second, staying true to Tang Xianzu’s urtext without adaptations or added lyrics. This ensures a faithful recreation of the classic in its entirety, allowing you to experience the original musical structure and appreciate the charm of Tang’s exquisite writing.
To present a more complete narrative, beyond these three "urtext selections," we have carefully arranged multiple scenes while adhering to the principle of "only omitting, never altering" the text, creating a coherent and fluid storyline.

While achieving absolute fidelity to the original music is challenging, we have referenced early and authoritative sources such as 《Na-shu-ying》 Kunqu Score, striving to restore the musical essence of the time. This production highlights the graceful, unhurried rhythm characteristic of the era.

This performance features two distinguished casts:
