Adhering to the spirit of “set foot on Kuandu, look at the world”, TNUA is not only Taiwan’s leading art school, but also the leader of the Asian League of Institutes of the Arts (ALIA). At the same time, it has 7 major art and cultural fields, including music, art, drama, dance, film and new media, cultural resources, humanities, and various professional exhibition halls on campus. Its integrity and comprehensiveness are rare at home and abroad. Education and practice echo each other and make use of each other to form an excellent field for artistically talented people.

北藝大 是臺灣重要的藝術高等學府。學校以傳統文化為根基，以人文精神培育藝術創作、表演與學術研究人才。

該校秉持 「立足關渡，放眼國際」 的精神，不僅是臺灣具代表性的藝術大學，也是亞洲藝術院校聯盟（Asian League of Institutes of the Arts, ALIA）的重要成員。校內涵蓋音樂、美術、戲劇、舞蹈、電影與新媒體、文化資源與人文等七大藝術與文化領域，並設有多座專業展演場館。教育與實踐相互呼應，形成完整而多元的藝術學習環境，在國內外皆屬少見。

校內藝文場館為「展演藝術中心」。中心分設業務及技術兩組，主要以管理及經營三個劇場—舞蹈廳、戲劇廳、和音樂廳(2005年啟用)，及三個實習工廠。除了配合各系、所、學院教學、實習、及演出，並從事各項藝術推廣、研習、與展演活動，也開放校外表演團體租用，以活化資源，促進國內外表演藝術的推展。
