聰明小狗萊卡要飛到太空了，
但是太空很危險，有可能回不來。
喜歡萊卡的女軍官好擔心，決定救牠！
這個演出所在的劇院像太空艙，
邀請你和最好的朋友來看狗狗太空冒險，
感受珍貴的情感。

正值冷戰時期的莫斯科，一隻聰明機智、性格溫順的小狗──萊卡，通過了太空訓練營的重重試煉，將成為歷史上第一隻進入地球軌道的動物。在層層考驗中萊卡與她的照顧者──一位女軍官建立了深厚的情感聯繫。當女軍官發現萊卡的任務有去無回，無法接受如此殘忍計畫的她，於是和太空小狗萊卡開始了逃脫大冒險……

「與動物相處是我們所有人痛苦的來源，我們對待牠們，就像對待不會說話的嬰兒，時間越久，我就越是後悔。」──訓練萊卡的科學家 Oleg Gazenko，於 1998 年演講表示。

來自奇里奇特拉劇團（Xirriquiteula Teatre）的著名劇目《太空小狗萊卡》（LAIKA），改編自 1957 年的真實事件，導演透過皮影戲、木偶、裝置物件、影像剪接等多種表演形式，讓觀眾進入時光隧道，一起回到 50 年代蘇聯，太空狗狗萊卡進行的太空遠征，經歷、感受和思考，人類進步與生命的意義。

奇里奇特拉劇團成立於 1985 年，專注為全齡觀眾打造劇場作品。劇團以精湛工藝與創新形式見長，擅長將平凡物件轉化為富含故事的道具，並融入多元視覺藝術傳遞情感。每部作品皆經由集體創作、反覆實驗而成，更邀請專業人士參與設計。代表作如《長頸鹿》（Girafes）、《天空的故事》（Cuentos del Cielo）、《廢紙新世界》（Papirus）等。《太空小狗萊卡》更是其經典之作。劇團屢獲國際獎項肯定，包含西班牙戲劇MAX大獎最佳親子劇、FETEN獎最佳編劇與導演獎、金龍獎最佳評審兒童節目獎等，足證其在戲劇藝術創新上的努力與成就。

— Oleg Gazenko, Laika’s trainer, in a 1998 speech.

In 1957, at the height of the Cold War, a clever stray dog named Laika was taken from the streets of Moscow and subjected to rigorous space training. She was chosen to make history as the first living creature in outer space.

During training, Laika formed a deep bond with her caretaker—a female officer assigned to prepare her for the mission. But when the officer discovered that Laika’s journey was a one-way trip, she could not accept the cruel reality. Together, they attempted a daring escape.

Based on true events, Laika explores the ethical dilemmas of scientific progress. Does human advancement always come at the cost of other lives?

One of Xirriquiteula Teatre’s most celebrated productions, Laika has earned multiple prestigious theatre awards across Spain and Europe. The show seamlessly blends shadow play, puppetry, physical theatre, scenic installations, and cinematic visuals, creating an immersive and visually striking experience.

Breaking the fourth wall, the director transports audiences to 1950s Soviet Russia, inviting them to relive Laika’s journey firsthand. This poignant and thought-provoking performance is designed for audiences of all ages, recommended for children five and up.
